Mama Jimmy reveals how she and Baba Jimmy started life in America living inside a container

Popular Kenyan YouTuber Mama Jimmy has emotionally opened up about the family’s humble beginnings in the United States after revealing that they have finally sold the container home they once lived in for years following their relocation to America.
In a video shared on TikTok on Sunday, July 12, 2026, the content creator could not hide her excitement as she announced that the container had found a buyer just hours after it was advertised for sale, describing the moment as another blessing in their family’s journey.
According to Mama Jimmy, selling the container will now allow them to focus on expanding the house they currently live in, saying the family is preparing to add another room as they continue settling into a better life.
“Finally tumeuza container. Mungu ni mwema. Tumeuza nyumba mzee. Tunaongeza room ingine kwa nyumba mpya. Mungu ni mwema. Tunatoka kwa container tunaingia kwa nyumba ya room five. Imagine a few hours after posting it online, a buyer has purchased it. We thank God,” she said.
Her husband, Baba Jimmy, then took over to explain why the container held such sentimental value for their family, revealing that it was the very first place they called home after moving to the United States.
Pointing at the trailer as it was being prepared for transportation, Baba Jimmy recounted how the family spent several years living inside the structure while working hard to establish themselves in a new country.
“So this is where we started life. We were living in this container. It’s a trailer, and we were living here many years after we came to the USA,” he said.
He explained that the trailer had already been mounted on wheels and was being transported away after its successful sale.
“You see now it has been moved. It even has wheels below, and it’s a member of our church who has moved it for us because we have sold it and we don’t need it anymore,” Baba Jimmy added.
The preacher went on to thank the church member who helped move the trailer, praying that God would bless him for his kindness.
“May he be blessed, and God has been so faithful to us,” he said.
