Malcom criticises men and parents who still attend Pastor Kanyari’s church

TikTok content creator Arnold Malcom has weighed in on the ongoing conversation surrounding Pastor Kanyari and his children, questioning the pastor’s approach to parenting and criticising people who continue to seek guidance from him.

His remarks come days after Pastor Kanyari made emotional appeals on social media regarding his children, claiming they were not doing well and expressing a desire to have them returned to him.

Malcom questions Kanyari’s parenting approach

Speaking during a post on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Malcom argued that parents should be able to guide and discipline their children, especially during their teenage years.

According to him, Kanyari’s public pleas over the matter raise concerns about his ability to offer parenting advice to others.

“If you’re a man or a parent who still goes to Pastor Kanyari’s church, you are just lost. Your pastor can’t even take care of his children. He comes and starts crying online over a 13-year-old child,” Malcom said.

He further stated that parents are expected to exercise authority and provide direction to their children in a responsible manner. “Those are children. As a parent, you can exercise authority, not bad authority, but disciplinary authority. That’s why you are called a parent. A lot of people just gave birth out here but can’t raise their children,” he added.

Advice to parents

Malcom also used the opportunity to encourage parents to take a more active role in guiding their children rather than fearing them.

He noted that teenagers require supervision and boundaries as they grow.”You have teenagers; you just regulate them. Take even their phones. People are fearing their kids, and when the kids grow up, they start disturbing them,” he said.

The content creator further questioned what lessons congregants could learn about parenting from a leader facing public family challenges.

“Even when you go to that church, what will the pastor tell you concerning raising children? Absolutely nothing. He just comes and starts crying online for his children to be brought back to him while there are things like courts that can help you in such things,” he stated.

Kanyari’s emotional appeal

His remarks follow a series of social media posts shared by Pastor Kanyari on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in which he expressed concern about the welfare of his children, Sky and Danny.

The preacher said he had remained silent for a long time despite believing that the situation involving his children was worsening. Kanyari claimed that seeing his children online had left him emotional, arguing that what is presented publicly does not reflect what they are experiencing in real life.

He also expressed concern about his daughter, Sky, saying he believes her situation is deteriorating despite ongoing public discussions surrounding the matter.

The remarks from both Malcom and Kanyari have since sparked discussion online, with social media users sharing differing views on parenting, family disputes and the role of public figures in handling personal matters.
