KRG The Don declares Arrow Bwoy his winner despite Vurugu 2 loss to Shakib Cham

Dancehall artiste and entrepreneur KRG The Don has continued to stand by Kenyan musician Arrow Bwoy despite his defeat against Ugandan socialite Shakib Cham during the highly publicised celebrity boxing clash at Vurugu 2.

Shakib Cham defeated Arrow Bwoy by technical knockout in one of the most anticipated fights of the night at the Sarit Expo Centre in Westlands, Nairobi, but KRG The Don has insisted that the loss does not take away Arrow Bwoy’s status as a champion.

Reacting after the bout in an Instagram post on Sunday, June 21, 2026, KRG shared a message of encouragement for Arrow Bwoy, describing him as his winner despite the outcome inside the ring.

“Champions live forever. My winner remains Arrow Bwoy,” KRG said.

Technical knockout defeat

The message came shortly after Arrow Bwoy suffered a technical knockout defeat against Shakib in a celebrity showdown that had attracted huge attention ahead of the event.

The fight had been among the most talked-about clashes on the Vurugu 2 card, with fans closely following the rivalry between the two entertainers before they finally faced off.

When the bell rang, Shakib quickly took control of the contest, applying pressure on Arrow Bwoy and forcing the referee to stop the fight after a dominant display.

Arrow Bwoy’s wife, singer Nadia Mukami, was also present at the event to support him during the bout. Following the result, Nadia was seen reacting emotionally after watching her husband lose the highly anticipated contest.

The event, organised by media personality Oga Obinna through Obinna TV Studios, featured several celebrity fights, professional boxing contests and live entertainment performances.

Other notable results from the night saw Fatuma “Iron Fist” Zarika defeat Tanzania’s Najma Isike by technical knockout, while Fidphil “Fidel Castro” Phil stopped Anthony Gachau Njoroge by technical knockout.

Salim Amoit defeated Tanzania’s Deogratious by unanimous decision, Tyson Mauru secured a unanimous decision victory over Clinton, and Bernard Achoki defeated Azaad Nasir by technical knockout.
