Content creator Koku Lwanga has hinted that her separation and the legal process that followed left her with what she described as serious post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) about lawyers.

Without directly mentioning her separation, Koku reflected on her 2025 experience, saying it changed how she views lawyers, the courts and litigation. She said the experience has continued to affect her long after it ended.

“I have serious PTSD about lawyers from last year, but this made me laugh!!” Koku Lwanga said on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Koku went on to explain that her experience affected how she now sees lawyers and the legal system. She said she is not sure she will ever look at the profession in the same way again. According to her, the litigation process felt more like a performance than anything else.

“And I’m not sure if I’ll ever look at the law profession, lawyers, law practitioners, etc the same way ever again,” Koku Lwanga said.

She also described her experience in court as being filled with unnecessary drama. Koku said the entire process left a lasting impression on her. She added that it even changed her entertainment choices.

Reflecting on life after separation

“And the courts and the law and the whole theatre because honestly the theatrics and ridiculousness surrounding litigation is pure theatrics! Opera level!!” Koku Lwanga said.

Koku added that the experience affected her so much that she could no longer enjoy a legal drama series she once watched. She said the memories associated with legal proceedings made it difficult for her to continue watching it. Her remarks highlighted how deeply the experience stayed with her.

“It’s so bad I even stopped watching Suits. Heh Mwathani wakwa,” Koku Lwanga said.

Her latest remarks come months after she addressed speculation that she and her former husband, actor and media personality Daddie Marto, were planning to get back together. Koku dismissed the claims and made it clear that she had no intention of reuniting with him. She explained that she could not return to the marriage because of what she said she had experienced.

At the time, Koku responded to a question about her relationship and ruled out any reconciliation. She said her former husband had humiliated her in ways she could not recover from. Her response made it clear that she had closed that chapter of her life.

“Aje, how akii someone who has humiliated me in ways I will never recover from?” Koku Lwanga wrote.
