Khalwale overcome with emotions after viewing wife’s dead body

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was overcome with emotion after viewing the body of his late wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale.
In a clip seen after her death, Khalwale is seen getting out of a car before walking towards the place where her body had been taken. He appeared deeply saddened as he approached the body alongside other people who were with him.
Khalwale was later seen crying as he stood near his wife’s body. The senator looked emotional and struggled to hold back his tears as he viewed Gloria for the last time. The clip captured a painful moment as he mourned the sudden loss of his wife.
The death of Gloria came as a sudden loss to Khalwale and his family. She died after suddenly collapsing following a heart attack, according to a statement shared by the senator on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Khalwale confirmed the news on his social media platforms as he informed the public about the death.
“My dear wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, has this morning suddenly collapsed and died after a heart attack,” Khalwale said.
Khalwale mourns mother of his eight children
Khalwale also shared details about Gloria’s role in their family. He said she was the mother of eight of his children and named them in his statement. The children are Engine Kukaste Khalwale, Olivia Sabayi Khalwale, Flavia Shimuli Khalwale and Gift Atubukha Khalwale.
“She is the mother of Engine Kukaste Khalwale, Olivia Sabayi Khalwale, Flavia Shimuli Khalwale, Gift Atubukha Khalwale, Velma Nasiebanda Khalwale, Sonia Inuni Khalwale, and Maura Makatse Khalwale,” Khalwale said.
The senator’s statement came shortly after Gloria’s sudden death. Her passing has left Khalwale facing another major loss in his family, nearly seven years after he lost his first wife, Adelaide Khalwale. Adelaide died on the morning of October 5, 2019, at the family’s home in Malinya, Ikolomani, Kakamega County.
Gloria’s death therefore comes years after Khalwale experienced the loss of his first wife. The senator is now mourning Gloria, who was the mother of eight of his children. His emotional appearance while viewing her body showed the pain following her sudden death.
