Kenya Tourism Board CEO June Chepkemei has married Naftal Korir in a colourful ceremony held in an open setting in Naivasha.

The couple exchanged marriage vows on Friday, August 21, 2026, in the presence of family and friends, marking the beginning of their marriage journey.

Chepkemei looked elegant in a beautiful white wedding gown, while Korir wore a grey suit as they exchanged vows during the outdoor ceremony.

Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei shared details of the wedding on Friday, August 21, 2026, saying he had joined family and friends to celebrate the couple.

“Today, I joined family and friends in celebrating June Chepkemei, Kenya Tourism Board CEO, and Naftal Korir as they exchanged their marriage vows in Naivasha,” Koskei said.

Colourful wedding

The ceremony was held in an open setting, with family and friends gathering to witness the couple exchange their vows.

Koskei congratulated the newlyweds and wished them a marriage built on love, faith and mutual respect.

“I wish June and Naftal a marriage anchored in love, faith and mutual respect, and a home filled with happiness and God’s abundant grace,” he said.

He also prayed for God’s blessings as the couple begins their life together.

“Congratulations, June and Naftal. May God bless your union and your journey together,” Koskei added.

The wedding brought together relatives and friends who joined the couple in marking the occasion.

The outdoor setting provided a colourful backdrop as the newlyweds celebrated their union surrounded by their loved ones.

Koskei’s message offered a glimpse into the celebrations while highlighting the close circle of family and friends that witnessed the marriage vows.

High-profile ceremony

The wedding comes just weeks after another high-profile family ceremony involving President William Ruto.

Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, held her colourful traditional Koito engagement with Tanzanian technology entrepreneur Isaya Yunge on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County. The ceremony attracted senior government leaders, politicians, family and friends.

June Chepkemei has led the Kenya Tourism Board since her appointment in March 2024, driving initiatives aimed at boosting Kenya’s tourism sector, including campaigns promoting diaspora travel and adventure tourism.
