Jimal Rohosafi proposes to long-time girlfriend Wangari Thiong’o

Prominent businessman Jamal Ibrahim Hassan, widely known as Jimal Rohosafi, has proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Wangari Thiong’o, during a romantic getaway to Victoria Falls in Zambia.
Jimal planned the surprise proposal after treating Wangari to a scenic helicopter ride over the iconic Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
The couple later made their way to a hill overlooking the majestic Victoria Falls, where Jimal got down on one knee and asked Wangari to marry him.
Sharing the memorable moment on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, via his official Instagram account, Jimal posted a video capturing the proposal and Wangari’s emotional reaction after accepting the ring.
“Forever yours and you mine, my love,” Jimal captioned the post, confirming their engagement.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, friends and fellow celebrities, many wishing the couple a lifetime of happiness as they embark on the next chapter of their relationship.
Jimal and Wangari’s love story
The engagement marks another milestone in the couple’s love story, which first became public in 2022 when rumours of their relationship began circulating following Jimal’s separation from his former wife.
