Hollywood actor Tyrese Gibson promises to introduce Muhoozi to his crush Beyoncé

American actor and musician Tyrese Gibson has promised to help Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, meet global music icon Beyoncé.
Gibson made the promise in a heartfelt social media message on Friday, August 28, 2026, following his recent visit to Uganda, where he met Muhoozi and members of his family.
The Fast & Furious star praised Muhoozi’s leadership, military career and philanthropic work, saying he left Uganda with a deeper understanding of the general beyond his identity as President Yoweri Museveni’s son.
“I arrived knowing you as the President’s son, but I left understanding the accomplished servant-leader you are in your own right,” Gibson wrote.
He also highlighted Muhoozi’s military background, noting his training at Sandhurst, the US Army Command and General Staff College, the US Army Airborne School and the South African National Defence College.
Gibson further praised the general’s work supporting children battling cancer, vulnerable communities and young entrepreneurs through the MK Fund.
Tyrese eyes Uganda investment opportunities
The American entertainer said his discussions with Muhoozi went beyond entertainment, touching on tourism, Uganda’s natural resources, hotels, restaurants, retail, entertainment, employment and investment.
“Our discussions about tourism, Uganda’s natural beauty, its 31 natural resources, hotels, restaurants, retail, entertainment, jobs and investment left me beyond excited!” he said.

Gibson said he was looking forward to pursuing opportunities that could have an impact on Ugandans, insisting that his visit was not merely about taking photographs.
“The entrepreneur in me never showed up to just take pictures. I’m on a mission to shift culture! One MOU at a time!” he wrote.
Beyoncé invitation
Gibson also extended an invitation to Muhoozi to visit Los Angeles, promising to use his connections to try to introduce him to Beyoncé.
“Mr. Kainerugaba, my invitation to Los Angeles comes from my heart. Upon accepting it, YOU HAVE MY WORD that I will do everything within my power to try to introduce you to my sister the icon and legend Beyoncé!” Gibson wrote.
He jokingly added: “A soldier’s heart desires to meet Beyoncé—let’s try to make it happen!”
Gibson concluded by thanking Muhoozi for his hospitality and asking him to extend his appreciation to President Museveni for welcoming him to Uganda.
“Thank you for your hospitality, generosity and brotherhood. Please extend my deepest appreciation to His Excellency for welcoming me,” he said.

Muhoozi’s crush on Beyoncé
Muhoozi has repeatedly made public his undying crush on American singer Beyoncé.
The Ugandan general publicly declared his love for Beyoncé for the first time on December 28, 2024, saying that he was ready to pay a dowry in order to settle with the American singer.
“But how long will I wait for Beyonce? Does she know how many cows I have?” he wrote on X.
On March 25, 2025, the Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) boldly declared that Jay-Z could do whatever he wanted to him, but he was taking Beyoncé.
“Jay-Z can do whatever he wants to me but I’m taking Beyonce!,” he said.

He did not stop there, further stirring controversy by challenging Jay-Z to a duel at dawn, with the stipulation that if he won, he would take Beyoncé.
“I challenge Jay-Z to a duel at dawn. If I win I take Beyonce,” Muhoozi said.
Muhoozi also expressed his frustration, saying that Jay-Z had disturbed him enough.
“This guy has disturbed me enough!” he added.
