FIFA has confirmed that YouTube sensation iShowSpeed will be among the global stars taking part in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final closing ceremony, joining Hollywood icon Tom Cruise and an impressive line-up of international music stars ahead of football’s biggest match.

In an announcement shared on Instagram on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, FIFA revealed the star-studded line-up that will take centre stage at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, 19 July, beginning 90 minutes before kick-off.

Star-studded line-up

Joining iShowSpeed on stage are Robbie Williams, Laura Pausini and Nicole Scherzinger, while Academy, Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award winner Jennifer Hudson will perform the United States national anthem ahead of the final. Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is also set to make a special appearance during the event.

The announcement further strengthens iShowSpeed’s growing relationship with FIFA. The American streamer, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., has become one of football’s most influential digital personalities through his passion for the sport and his close association with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Earlier in 2026, his song “Champions” was selected for FIFA’s official 2026 FIFA World Cup music campaign, making his appearance at the closing ceremony another major milestone in his collaboration with the organisation.

Historic halftime show

The entertainment won’t end before kick-off. FIFA will also stage a Super Bowl-style halftime show during the final, a first in World Cup history.

The performance has been curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and is expected to feature global stars including Shakira, Madonna, Justin Bieber, Burna Boy, BTS, Coldplay and the PS22 Chorus, turning the final into one of the biggest entertainment events in football history.

FIFA says the closing ceremony will celebrate the journey of all 48 nations that competed across the United States, Canada and Mexico, bringing together music, culture and football in a finale worthy of the tournament’s largest-ever edition.

“Football’s grandest stage will once more unite, bringing together music, global star power and a dazzling showcase of breathtaking visuals for an unforgettable Closing Ceremony ahead of the FIFA World Cup Final,” FIFA said in an announcement on Instagram.
