Esther Musila questions adults criticising other people’s children online

By , July 1, 2026

Esther Musila has spoken out against adults who criticise other people’s children online.

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, she said she usually avoids getting involved in other people’s matters, but felt she could not stay silent after hearing remarks directed at innocent children.

“I am not one to mingle in other people’s lives, but this one I cannot let it slide!!!” Esther Musila said.

She explained that she listened to a conversation involving someone she described as a fighter for other people’s rights. According to Musila, the comments made during the discussion were painful to hear because they were directed at innocent children.

“I listened to that conversation of ‘one so-called fighter for other people’s rights’, and those words were painful to hear,” she said.

Musila questioned why grown adults would record themselves making hurtful comments about children. She said such behaviour was upsetting and should not be encouraged.

“How ‘grown’ adults with loud mouths even record themselves to castigate a child who is innocent with such hurtful words is the saddest thing,” Esther Musila said.

Speaking against online trolling

Musila also questioned who gave people the authority to decide how other people’s children should live. She said children should not become targets of criticism from adults.

“Who gave these people authority to decide for other people’s children how they should live!” she said.

She went on to express sympathy for children who lose their mothers at a young age. Musila suggested that such children deserve care and protection instead of being exposed to hurtful remarks.

“Woi, mothers should never die and leave their young children,” Esther Musila said.

Musila further criticised the online trolling directed at children. She described it as unnecessary and questioned why some people choose to record such comments and share them publicly.

“The trolling that these children have been subjected to by these people is unnecessary, and why they feel they have to record their nonsense and put it out here beats me; they lack simple common sense!!!” she said.

Musila maintained that children should not be subjected to hurtful public criticism and called for more compassion when discussing matters involving young people.
