Embarambamba covers himself in mud as he appeals to Murkomen to visit Kisii

Controversial Kisii gospel singer Christopher Mosioma, popularly known as Embarambamba, has become the talk of the internet again after sharing a video of himself covered in mud from head to toe as he appealed to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to visit his home area.

In the funny clip shared on TikTok on Saturday, August 15, 2026, the singer is seen hiding in what appeared to be a banana plantation and showing only his upper body before delivering his message, which he framed as an emotional appeal to Murkomen.

Embarambamba then urged the Cabinet Secretary to bring an empowerment drive to the county, saying he was eagerly looking forward to seeing the occasion materialise.

“Murkomen, welcome for an empowerment drive here in our home in Kisii. Murkomen, I am calling you,” he said.

While welcoming the senior government official, Embarambamba also appealed to him to bring other senior government officials.

He also revealed that the empowerment drive had already been set for August 17, 2026.

“Welcome here. You and the whole government are welcome here on date 17,” he said.

The singer’s unusual appearance, with mud covering much of his body, added a comic twist to what he presented as a serious appeal to the Cabinet Secretary.

Embarambamba’s drama at Van Quiz’s burial

The dramatic appeal to Murkomen comes only months after Embarambamba made headlines at the burial of late urban Gusii singer Van Quiz, where his unconventional performance briefly turned a solemn farewell into a chaotic spectacle.

While other artistes who performed at the burial chose emotional renditions that comforted the bereaved family and reflected on death and the hope of resurrection, Embarambamba took a markedly different approach when he was handed the microphone.

In a video shared on Facebook, the controversial singer is seen immediately bursting into motion and sprinting across the expansive grounds of Matagaro Primary School, where the burial service was being held.

He became fully immersed in his energetic performance, dancing wildly and twerking before nearly losing his balance after slipping on the rain-soaked grass following morning showers.

The performance later took an unexpected turn when Embarambamba dashed towards a section where tents had been erected to shelter mourners and climbed onto the top of one of them.

The mourners seated underneath appeared caught off guard by the sudden move, with screams erupting as the structure began shaking under his weight.

Unfazed by the commotion, Embarambamba continued performing from atop the tent, but the increasingly unstable structure sent mourners scrambling out while shouting in alarm.

The singer then jumped onto an adjacent tent and continued with his performance, seemingly undeterred by the chaos that had unfolded below him.

It was only after the master of ceremonies intervened and ordered him to come down that the situation gradually returned to calm, allowing the burial proceedings to continue in a more composed atmosphere.
