Cassypool, Trudy Kitui among Kenyan influencers invited by President Suluhu to Kizimkazi Festival

Kenyan content creators have travelled to Tanzania for the Kizimkazi Festival, with Cassypool, Trudy Kitui and Peter Salasyas’ social media manager, Harriet Njenga, among the Kenyan personalities invited by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The creators are expected to tour several parts of Tanzania before heading to Zanzibar for the festival, with Cassypool highlighting the trip as part of efforts to strengthen ties between Kenya and Tanzania.

In an Instagram video shared on Monday, August 10, 2026, Cassypool said the delegation would travel through Arusha and Dar es Salaam before heading to Kizimkazi and later Dodoma.

Cassypool said the presence of Kenyan creators in Tanzania was an opportunity to challenge perceptions surrounding the relationship between the country’s government and content creators.

He pointed out that several Kenyan creators who have previously criticised President Samia were also part of the wider engagement.

“People have been saying, ‘Oh, Mama is arresting content creators.’ Look at how many content creators are here today,” Cassypool said.

He added that the visit was also about strengthening people-to-people relations between Kenya and Tanzania.

According to Cassypool, recent events, including Tanzanian national Isaya Yunge’s engagement to Charlene Ruto, showed how interactions between citizens of the two countries could deepen regional integration.

He urged young people to embrace cross-border relationships and interactions rather than allowing political differences to create hostility between the two countries.

Trudy, Harriet Njenga confirm invite

Trudy Kitui also confirmed her invitation through a post on social media.

“When duty calls. Asante @samia_suluhu_hassan for the invite here for @kizimkazifestival_,” she wrote, adding that the delegation was ready for the trip.

“Ni yetu sote huku maokoto tunabeba na gunia,” she added jokingly.

Social media manager Harriet Njenga separately expressed her gratitude after receiving an invitation from the Tanzanian president.

“I’m truly honoured to be invited by Her Excellency President @samia_suluhu_hassan to Dar es Salaam ahead of the @kizimkazifestival_ in Zanzibar,” Njenga wrote.

She said she was privileged to join creators from across the region for the celebration of culture, unity and the shared connection between East African communities.

Heading to Kizimkazi

The delegation includes several Kenyan creators and public figures who are travelling through Tanzania ahead of the festival in Zanzibar.

Cassypool said the group had received a warm welcome while travelling from Namanga towards Arusha, with people stopping to welcome the Kenyan visitors.

He said the trip was ultimately about integration and responsible content creation.

“Kizimkazi is where we are heading to meet Mama Samia Suluhu,” Cassypool said, while also thanking the Tanzanian president for creating an opportunity for creators from the region to interact.

The Kizimkazi Festival brings together culture, tourism, investment and entertainment, with the 2026 edition expected to attract participants from across the region.
