Captain Sammir lists ways he will support wife Gilo Ntinyari amid claims he dumped her

USA-based Kenyan TikToker Captain Sammir has outlined the ways he will support his wife, Gilo Ntinyari, should their breakup go through, saying he does not want to be portrayed on social media as someone who impregnates women and leaves them to suffer.
Speaking in a TikTok live on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Sammir said he is aware of the situation surrounding his relationship and insisted that he intends to take responsibility despite the ongoing tensions.
He revealed that he plans to send Gilo Ksh500,000 within the week as part of his immediate support. He also stated that he will ensure the completion of a shop he had reportedly started for her, noting that the business would still be finalised to help her become financially independent.
“I will do what I can with all respect, because I am also aware she is a young lady. I will send her Ksh500,000 this week, and I will also ensure that the shop I was opening for her is completed,” he said.
Sammir explained that his intention is to ensure Gilo is able to plan her life well moving forward, emphasising that he does not want public perception to be shaped by negative claims circulating online about his relationships.
He further said that his actions are meant to address criticism on TikTok, where some users have accused him of abandoning women after relationships result in pregnancy. According to him, he wants to clear that narrative by ensuring proper support is given.
“I am doing this so that you all on TikTok don’t come later saying I make women pregnant and dump them. I want her to be able to plan her life properly,” he added.

However, Sammir also issued a warning about his temperament, stating that people should understand he can be a bad person when angry, a remark that added a tense tone to his otherwise conciliatory message.
“And you should also know that when I get angry, I can be a bad person,” he said.
Previous breakup
Previously, K24 Digital reported that barely a month after exchanging vows in a colourful church ceremony in Meru, the marriage between US-based Kenyan TikToker Captain Sammir and fellow content creator Gilo Ntinyari had come to a dramatic end, with the two publicly confirming that they had gone their separate ways.
The unexpected breakup left many of their followers stunned, considering the pair had only recently celebrated their union in a wedding that drew widespread attention on TikTok.
Speaking in an emotional address on Thursday, March 12, 2026, Gilo confirmed that she had decided to end the marriage and went on to ask for forgiveness from people who had supported the union.
She first directed her apology to the priest who officiated their church wedding and to the congregation that witnessed the ceremony, acknowledging that she felt remorseful about the decision to walk away from the marriage.
“To my priest and to the people who witnessed my wedding to Captain Sammir, I am requesting that you guys forgive me. I am asking for forgiveness for making that decision to end our marriage. I feel bad, but I have to talk,” she said.
Gilo also apologised to members of her family, including her elder sister Mercy, her brother John and another sister identified as Kiki, saying a lot had happened online following the wedding.
The TikToker further extended her apology to her fans and to anyone she felt she might have wronged, expressing regret over the turn of events.
“Also, to my elder sister Mercy, I am sorry. A lot has happened online here and also to my brother John, sorry, and to my third sister Kiki, also sorry,” Gilo added.
While explaining her decision, Gilo maintained that ending the marriage had been her personal choice and insisted that she had not been influenced by anyone to make the move.
However, she admitted that she had grown tired of the relationship and therefore felt it was better to step away.
“To my fans and to the people whom I wronged, I am extremely sorry from the bottom of my heart. I want to make a new decision, and to end the marriage was also my choice. I was not influenced by anyone but I am tired, and that’s why I decided to end the relationship, but I cannot reveal what it is that made me quit so early. I just don’t want that relationship,” she added.
