Bolo Bespoke’s wife questions his Ksh810K drink spree after Ksh2M win

Kenyan fashion designer Bolo Bespoke’s wife, Josphine Mueni, has publicly questioned her husband’s decision to spend Ksh810,000 on drinks just days after winning Ksh2 million from a high-profile football bet.
Mueni, on Monday, July 20, 2026, shared her thoughts on social media, saying she was not impressed by the lavish celebration, arguing that the money could have been put to better use at home.
“Sijafurahia How can you win 2Million and spend Ksh.810,000 on alcohol? Alafu hio kifua bila nguo kwa club unaonyesha nani hao@ogaobinna ugemruka hii pesa tu. Hii bill inatosha good sofa seats ama hata renovation ya hii nyumba. @bolobespoke ni kukumbusha tu before nishike fire,” Mueni wrote.
In her post, Mueni questioned why Bolo chose to spend such a large amount on drinks instead of investing it in household improvements, suggesting the money would have been enough to buy quality sofas or renovate their home. She also jokingly criticised him for removing his shirt while celebrating at the club.

Her reaction comes days after Bolo made headlines for spending Ksh810,000 buying drinks for revellers at Nairobi’s popular lounge following his Ksh2 million betting win.
Bolo won the money after correctly predicting Spain would defeat Argentina in the FIFA World Cup final, beating media personality Oga Obinna in a high-stakes wager.
The businessman later disclosed that the remaining Ksh1.2 million would not be used for personal luxury. Instead, he said the balance would go towards supporting vulnerable members of society through his charitable project.
He explained that the Ksh1.2 million would be dedicated to helping the less fortunate, adding that if God had blessed him enough to be in a position to help others, he wanted to become a blessing to people who had nowhere else to turn.
“Naomba mniache sasa. The calls and the messages are too many. I know there are people who need this money more than I do. Sikutaka kusema hadharani, but I had made a decision from my heart,” Bolo said.
“The remaining balance of Ksh 1.2M will be used to support the less fortunate through my project. If God has blessed me enough to stand today, the least I can do is become a blessing to someone who has nowhere else to turn. Hapo tuko sawa, ama kuna lecture ingine?”
