Bolo Bespoke reveals how he will spend remaining Ksh1.2M after Ksh810K drink spree

Award-winning Kenyan fashion designer Austin Bolo, widely known as Bolo Bespoke, has revealed what he intends to do with the remaining Ksh1.2 million from his Ksh2 million World Cup betting win after spending Ksh810,000 treating revellers to drinks on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Bolo won Ksh2 million after correctly backing Spain to beat Argentina in the FIFA World Cup final, securing victory in a high-stakes bet with media personality Oga Obinna.
Taking to his social media accounts, on Monday, July 20, 2026, the fashion designer said the overwhelming number of calls and messages he had received since the celebration had prompted him to publicly explain what he intends to do with the remaining money.
He revealed that he had already made the decision privately but chose to share it after many people continued reaching out to him.
According to Bolo, the remaining Ksh1.2 million will be channelled towards supporting the less fortunate through his charitable project. He said he believes that since God has blessed him, he has a responsibility to extend that blessing to people who have nowhere else to turn.
“Naomba mniache sasa. The calls and the messages are too many.. I know there are people who need this money more than I do. Sikutaka kusema hadharani, but had made a decision from my heart,” Bolo said.
“The remaining balance of Ksh 1.2M will be used to support the less fortunate through my project. If God has blessed me enough to stand today, the least I can do is become a blessing to someone who has nowhere else to turn. Hapo tuko sawa ama kuna lecture ingine?”
Ksh 2 million bet
Bolo’s announcement comes days after he won Ksh2 million from a high-stakes World Cup bet against media personality Oga Obinna.
The wager centred on the FIFA World Cup final, with Bolo backing Spain to win while Obinna put his money on Argentina. Spain’s victory saw Bolo walk away with the Ksh2 million prize, which he later celebrated by spending Ksh810,000 buying drinks for revellers at a popular Nairobi lounge.
The friendly bet began after Obinna challenged anyone willing to stake Ksh500,000 on the final, expressing confidence that Argentina would emerge victorious. Bolo accepted the challenge and raised the stake to Ksh1 million, prompting Obinna to double it to Ksh2 million, setting the stage for the high-profile wager.
