Bolo Bespoke hilariously reacts to new maternity uniform for pregnant police officers

Fashion designer Bolo Bespoke has hilariously reacted to the new maternity uniform for pregnant police officers, jokingly distancing himself from the attire that has been making rounds on social media.
Bolo, who is a fashion designer, shared a mock statement in which he claimed that his company had no connection to the new Kenyan Police uniform. His statement was written in the style of an official corporate response, adding humour to the discussion around the new attire.
“I wish to categorically state, in my capacity as the CEO of Bespoke City, that our company has absolutely no association whatsoever with the new Kenyan Police uniform currently making rounds on social media,” Bolo Bespoke said on Instagram on Friday, August 28, 2026.
The designer said he had noticed people tagging and linking Bespoke City to the uniform. He jokingly asked the public to stop associating the production of the attire with his company.
“We have taken note of the numerous tags, comments, and attempts to associate Bespoke City with the said uniform. We kindly urge the public to stop tagging, linking, or attributing the production of these uniforms to our company,” Bolo Bespoke said.

Bolo further praised Bespoke City as a brand built around garment making, professionalism and integrity. He said the company was proud of its reputation and joked that it would not allow speculation to affect the name it had worked to build.
His mock statement also asked clients, partners, friends and members of the public to give the brand space during what he described as a difficult time. He joked that the company needed time to heal and regroup after being linked to the new uniform. The post maintained the tone of a serious company statement while making light of the situation.
“At this difficult time, we kindly ask the public, our clients, partners, and friends to give us the necessary space and allow us time to heal, regroup, and protect the good name of our brand, which has unfortunately been dragged into this unfortunate situation,” Bolo Bespoke said.
The joke comes after expectant police officers were included among those set to benefit from the redesigned General Duty uniform unveiled by President William Ruto.
The new uniform features light sky-blue and deep navy blue, replacing the previous all-deep-blue look. The new attire is expected to start replacing the current General Duty uniform from Monday, August 31, with the rollout set to happen progressively across the country.
