Tanzanian tech entrepreneur Isaya Yunge has expressed gratitude to President William Ruto after the Head of State accepted his request to marry his daughter, Charlene Chelagat.
Yunge shared the gratitude message on social media on Monday evening, August 10, 2026, following his traditional marriage ceremony with Charlene, addressing Ruto as his father while also sharing a Bible verse from Psalm 3: 3.

The message combined his appreciation to his new father-in-law with a declaration of faith, quoting Psalm 3:3, which speaks of God as a source of protection, glory and strength.
Yunge and Charlene’s wedding
Yunge’s message came shortly after he and Charlene took a major step in their relationship with their traditional wedding ceremony held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Kilgoris, Narok County.
The ceremony brought together members of the Ruto family and Yunge’s family for the cultural celebrations, marking an important stage in the couple’s journey towards marriage.
Prior to the wedding, Charlene had largely kept details of her romantic life private, making the ceremony a major moment of public interest.

“My beloved, thank you, Heavenly Father, for blessing me with Your precious daughter. God gave me His best when He gave me you. Charlene, you are my good thing—my answered prayer and my greatest earthly gift. I will spend forever honoring you,” Yunge wrote.
