Amber Ray: Every woman deserves to live, love, work, dream, and exist without fear

Influencer Amberay has spoken out on the growing femicide conversation, saying the issue is very personal to her as a woman and a mother to a daughter.

On Monday, June 1, 2026, she said the topic is not distant, especially as more women continue to demand safety and justice across the country.

She explained that every woman deserves to live freely without fear of violence or harm. According to her, women should be able to go about their daily lives without constantly worrying about their safety.

“As a woman and a mother to a daughter, the conversation around femicide is never distant from me,” Amberay said.

She further emphasised that women should have the freedom to live, love, work, and dream without fear. She said this basic freedom should be guaranteed and protected for all women.

“Every woman deserves the freedom to live, love, work, dream, and exist without fear,” Amberay said.

The influencer also expressed concern about the constant pressure women face regarding their safety. She said it should not be normal for women to always think about whether they will make it home safely.

Concerns over women’s safety

“We should not have to constantly think about our safety,” Amberay said.

She added that women should not live with the fear of becoming victims or statistics before real action is taken. She said it is painful that many cases only gain attention after lives are already lost.

“We should not have to wonder if we will make it home,” Amberay said.

Amberay also highlighted the emotional weight carried by women who feel their lives are only valued after tragedy strikes. She said no woman should become another headline or hashtag before meaningful change is made.

“We should not have to become another hashtag before action is taken,” Amberay said.

She expressed solidarity with women who have been speaking out and participating in demonstrations demanding change. According to her, these voices represent both those who have been lost and those still living in fear.

“Today I stand in solidarity with the women marching, speaking out, and demanding change,” Amberay said.

Amberay also reflected on the wider impact of femicide, saying it affects not only current generations but also young girls growing up today. She said the fight for safety must include protection for future generations.

“Our lives matter,” Amberay said.
