Cashmeer Sayyid warns women against having children to please men
Cashmeer Sayyid has warned women against having children to please men, saying childbirth should be a personal decision based on readiness and responsibility.
On Wednesday, January 6, 2027, she said women should only give birth because they want a child, not because a man is asking for one or expects a certain gender.
“Women, if you are going to give birth, give birth because you want the child. Not because the man wants the child,” she said.
Cashmeer stressed that children should not be brought into the world to satisfy relationship demands. Cashmeer criticised reasons often given by women, such as wanting to give a man a first child or balance the number of sons and daughters.
“Eti ohhh…I am going to give him a child because he doesn’t have another child,” she said, dismissing such thinking as unrealistic.

She added that decisions based on gender expectations are misguided.
“Because he has two sons, I am going to give him a daughter, if he has two daughters, I am going to give him a son,” Cashmeer said, warning that such ideas are a fairy tale.
The reality of raising a child
Cashmeer urged women to be honest with themselves before deciding to have children.
“You are living in a fairy tale. Cinderella let me tell you,” she said, stressing that reality often turns out very different from expectations.

She said women must be prepared to raise a child on their own if necessary.
“If you are getting a child, let it be you can take care of that child, whether that man is there or not,” she said, pointing to the unpredictability of relationships.
Cashmeer warned that unresolved resentment can affect both the mother and the child.
“When the man disappears, as usual, you will start hating everybody,” she said, adding that frustration can easily be redirected toward the child.
She explained that emotional strain can harm family life.
“You will hate the child,” Cashmeer said, noting that constant anger and shouting can make a child feel unwanted and unsafe.
She also highlighted the impact on mental health. “Every time you are shouting, and your mental health is ruined,” she said, warning that the pressure of single-handed parenting without preparation can take a serious toll.
