Content creator Cashmeer  Sayyid has vowed to personally invite her online critics to witness the success of her growing institution.

This is after she faced backlash online after she invited influencers and celebrities to her wedding to a Congolese man, which turned into a business launch, a twist that left many attendees feeling disappointed.

Speaking on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, during an online interview, Cashmeer revealed she had taken note of every negative comment made about her venture.

“I have written all your names down. I have gone through the comment sections and written your names. The day this school grows into a university, and we are planning to open a primary school, a secondary school and a kindergarten,” she stated.

“I will bring you those gifts that I was giving other people wherever they are, because I  want you to attend. I want you to see that ladies can also win. They are saying this business will fail; it will not fail in the name of the Lord,” she added.

Apology

This comes after she apologised to her guests on her Instagram account on Monday, August 11, 2025, admitting that the backlash was justified.

“Hi guys, so I’ve just come from the interview, and I also want to apologise right now. A lot of my guests felt cheated… I listened to them; I felt bad,” she said.

The event, which had an “all black” dress code, drew numerous content creators and friends dressed in their finest outfits, expecting to witness a matrimonial celebration.

Instead, the “bride” arrived in a white suit and announced she was unveiling a training institute. Several attendees expressed frustration on social media, citing the time, money, and effort they had spent preparing for the day.

Furthermore, she clarified that the wedding theme was symbolic and intended to highlight the issue of underage marriage.

“It was pushing the agenda of underage marriage,” she said, explaining that the ‘marriage’ in question was to her new project, the training institute.

However, she acknowledged that the surprise approach had overshadowed her intended message.

She admitted she felt responsible for the disappointment. “For a host, if someone says they don’t like food or this or that, you feel bad for them because it’s your responsibility to ensure that your guests are satisfied,” she noted.

In her apology, Cashmeer also revealed plans to turn the experience into a new business venture: a clothing and accessories rental platform for celebrities and event-goers. “Starting today, I’m working on it… You can rent your clothes, your shoes, and your designer bags,” she said.

The platform, she added, would allow people who have worn high-end items once to earn money back by renting them out, especially for themed events.

“I’m so sorry my lovelies… I’ll always show up for you.”
