Carey Priscilla warns against spouses hiding wealth from each other in marriage
Social media influencer and entrepreneur Priscilla Wangari, widely known as Carey Priscilla, has cautioned couples against keeping secret assets or wealth from their spouses, emphasising that such actions can set the stage for marital failure.
According to Priscilla, a marriage built on secrecy is inherently unstable, as one partner is not fully committed, leaving the relationship with one foot in and one foot out.

Priscilla explained that it is contradictory to ask God to bless a union while secretly preparing an exit plan.
The influencer further stressed that actions often speak louder than words, and a divided heart cannot provide a solid foundation for a lasting marriage.
“If you have secret properties or wealth hidden from your spouse, you are just preparing for your marriage to fail,” Carey said.
“You are not fully committed; it is like you are having one foot in and one foot out. Let me put it like this: how can you ask God to build your marriage when you are secretly building your exit plan?”
Additionally, she stressed that actions often speak louder than words, and a divided heart cannot provide a solid foundation for a lasting marriage.
“Our actions are speaking louder of what we want; it’s either all in or all out. God does not build on divided hearts,” she pointed out, urging spouses to be honest and open with each other in all matters, including finances.
Carey also referenced James 1:8, advising that anyone struggling with secret agendas should seek guidance through prayer and the Holy Spirit.
According to her, hiding wealth or other important matters may unconsciously be preparing the marriage for failure.
“Remember James 1:08, ‘A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways’. So if you are doing some hidden agenda, that it is for the hard time, just pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you because you might be preparing for failure in your marriage,” Carey added.
