Baba Talisha reveals why he never had time to grieve his late wife

Kenyan digital content creator and photographer Faustine Lukale, widely known as Baba Talisha, has opened up about the difficult period following the loss of his wife, Milka, and fame.

Speaking during a candid conversation with local media on Friday, December 5, 2025, Baba Talisha explained why he never got the chance to properly grieve her.

The content creator revealed that the first time he came to the internet was after he and his family were involved in an accident. He decided to share his experience, especially his grief, in hopes of encouraging others who were going through similar pain.

“The first time I was on the internet was after we got involved in an accident with my family. I came out to share whatever I was going through, which is grief, to motivate others going through the same,” Baba Talisha said.

Fame and grief

When fame followed soon after, Baba Talisha said it brought a lot of pressure, adding that it was his first time being known on social media, and many things came at once.

At first, ilikuja na pressure mingi sana kwa sababu ni mara ya kwanza nimejulikana kwa social media sana, lot of things came at the same time; it was too much at the same time. I was struggling with grief,” he revealed.

According to him, the reason he never had time to grieve was the overwhelming situation he found himself in. He was constantly moving around and trying to manage everything alone.

He explained that he had never experienced loss before, yet during this difficult time, his child was in the ICU, and he had no family members or relatives close by to support him.

“Me i did not have time to grieve because at that particular time, I was still running up and down; there was a lot of pressure at that time that I could not manage, and it was the first time. I have never experienced loss in my life, it was the first time and still, I had a kid in the ICU. It was overwhelming, and at the same time, I did not have any family members or relatives around to help me with the situation.”

He added that while the situation was extremely stressful, fans also played a big role in keeping him going.

“At that time kulikuwa na fans walikuwa positive and my phone was ever ringing because everyone was just checking how baby Talisha was and how I was doing mentally; some used to call and pray,” he shared.

“She was not born like this, but it is due to the accident we had recently. She was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 2, ADHD Combined Type, and Dyslexia,” he explained.

“She had a severe brain injury. At the back, she had a concussion, which made blood get to her brain so it swelled; that is why she was admitted to the ICU, She lost speech, her ulimi ilikuwa imekatika yani alirudi kuwa mtoto tu; she was two years by then, but before the accident, she was a normal kid.
