Tanzanian music star Alikiba has shed light on why fellow artiste Harmonize failed to field his team in the ongoing Samia Cup, attributing the move to the singer’s demanding schedule.

Speaking during an interview with Bongo YouTubers on Sunday, February 22, 2026, the ‘Sella’ hitmaker explained that Harmonize has been tied up with major music projects, leaving him with little time to organise and manage a team for the competition.

According to Alikiba, Harmonize is currently working on a specific project that has consumed much of his time, particularly during the shooting phase, making it difficult for him to focus on football-related commitments.

“Harmonize is busy, and his projects are not giving him enough time. Right now, there is a specific music project he is working on, and it is taking a lot of his time, especially during the shooting. So I think the time to sit down and organise a team is what he does not have,” Alikiba said.

He noted that while Harmonize had initially expressed strong interest in participating and had even assured him of his presence, the tight schedule ultimately made it impossible for him to follow through.

Alikiba added that the challenge was not a lack of willingness but rather a lack of time to sit down and properly structure a team for the tournament.

“But speaking honestly, he was ready and had told me, ‘Bro, I must be there.’ However, because of the shooting commitments, he did not get the time,” he said.

Crown FC supporter

Beyond addressing Harmonize’s absence, the singer also turned his attention to the highly anticipated derby, declaring his support for Crown FC.

He expressed confidence in the team’s preparation, noting that focus will be key in determining the outcome of the match.

Alikiba voiced optimism that Crown will emerge victorious, affirming his backing for the club ahead of the crucial fixture.

“As for the derby, I am wishing victory to Crown FC. I know the team are ready, and they have prepared well. A game needs focus, and with that, you can emerge victorious. I am hopeful they will win, which means I am supporting Crown FC ahead of the derby,” he said.
