Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor has revealed how Molo activist Raymond Otieno was killed by his assailants.
Speaking to journalists moments after performing a post-mortem on Otieno’s remains, Oduor revealed that the activist had several injuries on his head and hands.
“There were several slash wounds on the back of the head which led to the fracture of the skull and excessive bleeding of the brain. There were also slash wounds on the frontal area of the head though these ones did not fracture the skull. There were also bruises on the face. We also found bruises on the arms which looked like someone who tried to defend himself,” Oduor told journalists on Friday, January 24, 2025.
“From these findings, we can say that the late Richard (Otieno) died as a result of severe head injury which was caused by a sharp object which could either be a panga or an axe which was used severally on the head. We have taken some samples for analysis which will help us see if we can apprehend the persons who did this.”
Otieno’s death
