Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan announced she is married for the third time moments after she arrived in Tanzania for a five-day visit.
She landed in Dar es Salaam on Thursday, June 16, 2022, for official duties as the Softcare brand ambassador.
The 41-year-old arrived in Tanzania from Uganda and was accompanied by her young lover whom she also tagged along during her recent three-day visit to Kenya.
Zari happily married to young lover
Speaking to journalists while headlining a function organized by Softcare, Zari revealed that she was officially married to her young lover.
“Huyu ni mume wangu, ni mume wangu (He is husband). Case close,” she said.
The South Africa-based Ugandan socialite noted that her young husband doesn’t interfere with her work when asked why he did not accompany her to the Softcare function.
“Because nko kwenye kazi na mume wangu haingiliangi vitu vyangu vya kazi (I am at work and my husband doesn’t get involved with the things I do) he respects me,” she said.
However, Zari blatantly declined to talk about her husband’s name when Tanzanian journalists sought to find out about his identity.
It’s the third time that Zari has been married.
Zari’s love life
The mother of five was born and raised in Uganda where her love story began. She dated a handful of Ugandan men before she went international and got married twice to foreigners.
While she was staying in Uganda, Zari dated at least four men, namely: Rasta Rob MC, Farouk Sempala, Isaac Lugude aka LK4, Williams Bugembe alias Boss Mutoto, Ivan Ssemwaga.
The Ugandan socialite was married to Ivan Ssemwaga for approximately 12 years, they were blessed with three sons in the course of their troubled marriage.
In 2013, Zari divorced Ivan hinting at the possibility of domestic violence as the reason why she decided to walk away from their matrimonial home.
She established a romantic relationship with Diamond Platnumz, who is 9 years her junior, sometime in 2014 – a year after divorcing her late husband Ivan Semwanga.
Diamond and Zari are blessed with two children together – Latifah Dangote (born on 6 August 2015) and Prince Nillan (born on 6 December 2016).
She broke up with her Tanzanian baby daddy on Valentine’s Day 14 February 2018 after getting tired of his continued infidelity. Diamond cheated on Zari multiple times, even siring a kid with Hamisa Mobetto.
Zari got married to a South African-based man she only referred to as ‘King Bae’ on Mandela Day July 18 2019. Their marriage didn’t stand the test of time either.
She hooked up with Frederick Naumah after her marriage hit rock bottom. After breaking up with Naumah she got into a relationship with GK Choppa – a South Africa-based Ugandan businessman who was also younger than Zari.
After Choppa, Zari hooked up with the young man who she is currently married to. The 41-year-old was first seen with her toyboy in May this year while partying at a beach in Dar es Salaam.
