Former Kenyan gospel musician Lawrence Karanja popularly known as Weezdom has called out fake people in the entertainment industry.

Through his official Instagram page, Weezdom lamented how the industry is full of fake people who only care after someone dies adding that they never help when someone is still alive.

So you all fake people in this industry mnajifanyanga kujali msee siku amekufa and you are not their msee akiwa alive,(you pretend to care when someone has died and you are never there when they are alive),” he said.

Adding that when someone is alive and going through some challenges they are ignored but after they pass on people pretend to care.

“Msee hayuko poa hauna shughuli but siku ya mwisho akishaondoka mko hapo kulia na kuchanga why the end time take ndio mnajiona mnamjali? (You ignore when someone is alive and going through some challenges but when they die you pretend  to care by holding fundraising to facilitate  their funeral)”he said

Encouraging entertainers to be there for each other, Weezdom stated that it’s important to give a listening ear to your friend who is going through challenges in life.

Always be there kusiza nini imeweza msee rafiki and we try our best as real friends kujaribu kuwa there for him/her but nyinyi ni kukuja siku ya mwisho mnajifanya imewauma sana mazishi ni roadtrip hio ni ujinga hio sio kuwa real,”(Always be there listen to your friends and try to be real friends be there for him/her all the time not during their funeral)” he said.

Kriss Darlin sentiments

Weezdom opinion comes days after veteran reggae DJ Kriss Darlin on June 5, 2024, called out people for sharing photos they took with the late Jahmby Koikai.

Accusing them of hypocrisy Kriss Darlin,  through his official Instagram page, said that it is now time to post photos with the departed but when she was alive and asked for blood donation nobody posted the pictures.

“It’s now TIME to POST PICS with the DEPARTED but when she asked and needed BLOOD DONATIONS & HELP NOBODY POSTED PICS,” said Kriss Darlin.
