VJ Patelo sends shoutout after Jalang’o claims involvement in his wedding

Arbantone singer and social media sensation Stanley, alias VJ Patelo, has sent a strong message of appreciation to Lang’ata Member of Parliament Jalang’o after the MP publicly praised him during an interview.

In a video shared on his TikTok page on Saturday, August 9, 2025, Patelo expressed how delighted he was to receive recognition from the MP and revealed his eagerness to continue collaborating with him on various projects.

The social media personality, who has been trending recently for his wedding to wife Diana, assured that he would continue supporting Jalang’o daily but deliberately avoided addressing the MP’s earlier claims of having been among the committee that planned his multimillion wedding.

“Big up Honourable Jalang’o. Man, MP Jalang’o always. And to all my fans, big up to you as well,” Patelo said warmly, showing appreciation to both the MP and his supporters.

He then shifted focus to address his newly emerging critics, delivering a firm warning to those who doubted his rise to prominence.

Patelo reminded them that he had warned they should watch him rise even higher, but many refused to believe in his potential.

“They are in for the shock of their lives. To all the haters, I urge you to reduce your hate if you want to live in peace. And to the haters as well, you see how things have changed now. It is true, you will obey,” Patelo added.

Jalang’o’s claims

Earlier on Friday, August 8, 2025, Jalango, born Phelix Odiwour, for the first time weighed in on the Arbantone musician and his wife Diana’s viral wedding, revealing his behind-the-scenes role.

Speaking during an interview with a local YouTuber, Jalang’o disclosed that he was part of the committee that handled the wedding preparations.

The veteran stand-up comedian also said the wedding actually cost Ksh670 million, contrary to the Ksh500 million claimed by Patelo during a past interview.

“VJ Patelo alidanganya watu,nilikuwa kwa committee ya harusi na budget haikuwa Ksh500 million ilikuwa Ksh670 million .Patelo ni boss, yule ni kijana mkubwa, ilie harusi ilikuwa kubwa,” he said.

Jalang’o, in addition, stated that he could not offer financial advice to Patelo, as, according to him, Patelo is wealthier than he is.

“Siwezi advise Patelo ni tajiri kuniliko, unajua ukipata tajiri mkubwa wewe unatulia anakupatia maharifa wewe unafwatilia anaweza kuwa ni mdogo kwa umri lakini Patelo ni tajiri, ile chain anaweka kwa shingo nasikia anasema ni ya Ksh4 million hiyo ni Ksh7 million ama Ksh 8 million,”he added.
