Controversial YouTuber Vincent Mboya now says his Mpesa account has reached its maximum limit.

Taking to his Instagram stories on Sunday, May 18, 2025, Mboya shared a screenshot of his Mpesa balance, showing Ksh492,000. He said he wanted to increase the limit on his account to Ksh2 million and was asking fans and followers to help him figure out how to do it.

Mboya, who is known for flaunting his lifestyle and often bragging about his financial progress, added that anyone who knew how to raise the limit should send him a direct message.

“My mpesa is full. Does someone know how I can add a limit on my number to like 2m? DM me please !!” he said.

Currently, the Mpesa wallet limit in Kenya is Ksh500,000, a figure revised by Safaricom in 2023 from the previous cap of Ksh300,000. With Ksh492,000 in his account, Mboya seems to be just a few thousand shillings shy of the maximum.

King of bragging

This comes just days after the digital content creator boasted about spending more than Ksh742,000 to fix his teeth. In a recent TikTok video, Mboya said he had paid 8,000 Canadian dollars for the dental procedure.

“I started fixing my teeth. I spent 8K Canadian dollars on this,” he wrote in the video.

Recently, Mboya bragged that he was losing fluency in Swahili, a year after relocating to Canada.

On Sunday, April 20, 2025, the controversial YouTuber broke his silence through a video shared on his Instagram stories, saying he had taken a break from social media. He also addressed fans who had been inquiring about his absence.

Struggling to speak in Swahili, Mboya acknowledged his difficulty with the language and apologised for his grammatical errors, admitting he was gradually forgetting how to speak it.

“I want to take one minute of your time to address where I have been. Let me address you in Swahili for every Kenyan to understand. I am so sorry my Swahili is bad, I have forgotten it completely,” he said.

He added:

“Habari yenu Wakenya, nimeskia, you are looking for me. Nataka kuwaambia I’m doing okay, nimekuwa busy. I have not been online. I have tried. Anyway, I have been very busy, but I’m coming back very soon.”
