Vera Sidika denies using loans to buy new luxury car

By , July 28, 2025

Ever since Kenyan socialite and reality TV star Vera Sidika announced the purchase of her new Range Rover, she has faced relentless speculation from fans eager to read between the lines of the acquisition.

The latest round of rumours surfaced on Monday, July 28, 2025, forcing Vera to respond with laughter after a fan insisted that she must have hired the vehicle rather than bought it outright.

She insisted firmly that she had paid cash in full for the Range Rover, which cost approximately Ksh18 million.

“Kenyans are funny. A small Range Rover like this, everybody pressed. That means if I bought a Bentley or Lambo, people would collapse,” she remarked.

Vera further explained that while owning such a vehicle in Kenya often draws intense attention, if she lived elsewhere, she would likely opt for even more expensive cars, such as a Bentley or Lamborghini.

“If I lived elsewhere, I wouldn’t even buy a Range Rover. Probably Bentley, Lambo, etc. In Kenya, if I bought a Bentley, it would get people in ICU,” she added.

Vera then refuted other claims that she could have hired the car for clout.

She shot down the rumours, saying she is just a humble girl who does not believe in flaunting or rubbing her success in people’s faces.

She insisted that those spreading the hire stories will soon get tired because she owns the car for keeps, unlike those who have to give it back when their rental period ends.

“I’m humble, so I’m just managing Rover paid in full. Cash. No loans. No hire purchase; they’re shook. Is it a car hire? Just count the number of days I’m hiring it for and multiply by Ksh80,000 per day,” she joked, mocking the unfounded rumours.

Rover girl

Earlier, on July 26, 2025, the reality TV star opened up about her decision to purchase a Range Rover instead of going for other high-end luxury vehicles like a Lamborghini or Rolls-Royce.

Responding to a curious fan on her Instagram stories on Saturday, July 26, 2025, Vera explained that while she could afford more flashy brands, she is simply a Rover girl and prefers to spend her money wisely.

“Lmaooo, must people copy-paste & buy the same cars others are buying? I don’t get it, lol. I’m a Rover girl,” Vera wrote.

Adding;

“Lambo and Rolls-Royce will come when I’m ready for them. I don’t prioritise cars because they depreciate. Otherwise, I would be popping up with new cars every year, btw, but I prefer acres & properties instead.”
