Tiwa Savage reveals her dream man must have private jet and no baby mama drama

Tiwa Savage wants a man who owns a private plane, a yacht, and has no baby mama drama. The Nigerian music star says those are her non-negotiables when it comes to love.
Speaking on a radio show on Friday, August 15, 2025, she admitted that her strict checklist may be the reason she has struggled to find someone to settle down with.
According to her, she is still searching for the right partner but believes narrowing her criteria to only those who meet these expectations could make the journey more difficult.
“I’m still looking for someone’s son. And I think is because I’m asking for specific things. Maybe I need to narrow my search down. I’m looking for someone who has a private plane, a yacht, Someone who doesn’t have baby mama dramas, because I can’t,” Tiwa Savage stated.
She also made it clear she is not ready to waste time.
“I don’t have time to wait for a whole year. I’m trying to be in Central Pe by the end of the month,” she said.
Beyond her own experiences, she shared advice to women about love and dating. She encouraged them to pay closer attention to the men they are interested in, stressing consistency and attentiveness as ways of truly getting to know someone.
“To the ladies, if you are looking for someone, this is Shannon’s advice: listen to him 30 times for 30 days, by the 31st day, I’m not sure guaranteeing what time of man you will get, but you will get someone’s son,” she said.
Love life
Tiwa was once married to music executive Tunji “TeeBillz” Balogun. They tied the knot traditionally in Lagos in 2013, then had a white wedding in Dubai in 2014. The following year, she gave birth to their son, Jamil. But by 2016, the marriage had collapsed, and in 2018, the divorce was finalised.
Now nine years old, Jamil is the centre of her life. Tiwa has said in the recent past that the only true love she has ever experienced is the love from her son.

When reflecting on love, Tiwa admitted she has never really experienced it romantically. She feels most of her past relationships, even her marriage, were built on infatuation rather than a deep connection. She has also acknowledged making mistakes by dating men who were not financially stable.
