Meru content creator and crossdresser Supuu O Mioro has come out to address the growing online claims that he is imitating Kelvin Kinuthia, saying he is tired of being unfairly judged for his appearance and content style.

Speaking in a long video shared on his TikTok page on Thursday, November 6, 2025, Supuu said he had been holding back from responding to critics but decided to speak up after what he termed as persistent online negativity following his latest viral video.

The clip showed him fully dressed in makeup, a figure-hugging dress, and a wig while advertising a local cosmetics shop, leaving netizens with mixed reactions.

Supuu said he had noticed how some people were becoming increasingly bothered by how he presents himself online, often dragging his name into unnecessary comparisons and gossip.

“Hello everyone, I have come to address something. I know many of you always tell me not to speak negatively, but this time I have to. I cannot just sit and allow people to keep talking badly about me and acting bothered by my life,” he said.

He said that even though his close friend, musician Karimi wa Bruno, had advised him not to respond to negativity, he felt the need to speak this time round because the comments were getting out of hand.

“My friend, musician Karimi wa Bruno, has always told me not to focus on people who raise negative issues about me, but this time I will respond,” Supuu added.

He explained that the advertisement that caused the uproar was a paid project, not just a casual video he shot for fun.

He said that people should understand that as a content creator, he is sometimes required to embody certain characters or looks for marketing purposes.

According to him, those attacking him for wearing makeup and a dress during the advert were missing the point, since he was only doing his job.

“Why is it that people are talking so much about the advert I did? That was a paid advertisement, not just normal content. Stop judging me for doing my job,” he said.

He added that those comparing him to Kinuthia were being unfair and ignorant, saying that he is not anyone’s copy or wannabe.

“Some of you have started saying that I have now completely transformed to look like a woman like Kelvin Kinuthia. Let me tell you clearly, I am myself, not anyone’s copy,” he added.

He stated firmly that he is Supuu O Mioro, an identity he has proudly carried for years, and that he has no desire to imitate anyone else’s style.

He went on to explain the origin of his name, saying that the nickname “Supuu O Mioro,” which means beauty, was given to him while studying at Gikurune Boys High School, and that he has embraced it ever since.

“My name is Supuu O Mioro, which means beauty. I did not give myself that name; it was given to me while I was in high school at Gikurune Boys. I love that name because it fits me. You can all see that I am beautiful, more beautiful than many of your women and wives,” Supuu said.

Supuu also addressed critics who often accuse him of wearing wigs and feminine clothes, saying that he has no apologies to make for how he chooses to dress.

He said he will continue wearing dresses, wigs, bras, and crop tops until Christ returns, insisting that no one has the power to make him change who he is or how he expresses himself.

“People keep saying that I wear wigs and dresses. I want to make it clear that, yes, I will wear dresses and wigs until Christ returns. I will even wear bras and crop tops if I want to. You will not bring me down.”

He told those who constantly leave hateful or mocking comments on his page to stay away, warning that he will not hesitate to clap back at anyone who tries to bring him down.

“Do not come to my comment section with such claims again, or I will curse you. When I made that video, I already knew that people would talk, so when you come to throw shade at me, I will definitely respond.”
