Stevo Simple Boy reveals phrase that has earned him trip, show in Saudi Arabia

With the current competition in the entertainment industry, celebrities have improvised ways that will boost their relevance and Kibera-bred rapper Stephen Otieno Adera popularly known as Stevo Simple Boy has mastered the art through his numerous unique phrases.

One of his unique phrases that has so far gained momentum among his fans has earned him an international trip.

Speaking during a live show Hangout Friday at K24 TV on Friday, August 30, 2024, the bubbly rapper revealed that he has secured an international show on September 23, 2024, where he would be performing for the first time in Saudi Arabia courtesy of his phrase dubbed Mafi Mafi Mshkila.

Additionally, Stevo said that the moment the phrase, which is an Arabic word that means ‘no problem’, went viral, opened the international door.

Mafi Mafi Mshkila ni lugha ya kiarabu, na wakati nilisema hiyo msamiati unajua nini ilifanyika? Ni bahati mwezi ujao tarehe 23 naenda Saudi Arabia kwa mara ya kwanza nitakuwa na piga show ya kwanza,” Stevo revealed.

Fashion sense

Apart from his unique play of words, the self-proclaimed King of phrases, when it comes to fashion, he does not go wrong.

Stevo, who currently has a different hairstyle, attributes his massive social media following to his unique sense of fashion.

Kibera’s finest further disclosed that his fashion and music have earned him a spot not only in Kenya’s entertainment industry but also in East Africa, adding that he is eying for an international spot.

On August 21, the bubbly rapper paid a courtesy visit to the NACADA offices in Nairobi and met with one of the officials for a possible collaboration.

In a video shared on his Instagram account, Stevo disclosed his visit to the offices was to discuss how they can save youths from addictiǾn to substance abùse.

On the other hand, the NACADA’s representative stated that the agency personnel are exploring possible areas of collaboration and partnerships with the rapper, adding that the conversation is still ongoing.

“This morning we played host to @stevosimpleboy8 and his team, where we explored possible areas of collaboration and partnerships…..the conversation is still ongoing.”

Stivo Simple Boy first gained prominence through his song dubbed ‘Vijana Tuwache Mihadarati‘, which went viral in 2019. The song advocates against substance abusé.
