Days after Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) fired their CEO Ezekiel Mutua, several people have sent him messages to show their support to him.

Flashy city preacher, Reverend Lucy Natasha, taking to social media shared a photo of them in the office praying and captioned it to read;

“Dr Ezekiel Mutuas is a shining beacon of hope in the media world, a dedicated promoter of clean content in our airwaves and a wonderful servant who has been exceptional as the CEO of the Kenya Film and Classification Board, (KFCB)

“Your godly character, passion and servant leadership has been felt across different spheres and served as an example worth following. We hold you in our prayers as you continue to light the banner of Christ in corporate and government leadership.”

In conclusion, the minister of Prophetic Latter Glory Ministry International wrote;

“Like an eagle that soars above the storms, may the challenges along your path be your ladder into your destiny.”

Mutua who was sent on “terminal leave” will be replaced by Christopher Wambua from the Communications Authority of Kenya as the acting CEO until a replacement is found.

He joined KFCB in October 2015 and served his first term until 2018 when KFCB directors renewed his term for three more years.

His first term was rocked by controversy due to his hard stance on issues especially those touching on morals earning him several enemies both on mainstream and social media.

Mutua was also embroiled in a bitter fight with film producers and directors, a recent incident being the ban on Kenyan gay movie Rafiki.
