Rayvanny reflects on family love after son Jaydan surprises him with birthday party

Tanzanian music star Rayvanny has opened up about the joy and gratitude he felt after being surprised by his son, Jaydan Vanny, with a party on his 31st birthday.

The celebration, which he described as meaningful and heartfelt, left him reflecting on the love and thoughtfulness of his family.

Speaking to YouTubers hours after the party, which happened on the night of Saturday, August 23, 2025, Rayvanny revealed that he had never been one to focus on birthday celebrations, often continuing with his usual routines even on his special day.

“By the way, this is how it has always been for me; I have never really been one to make a big deal out of birthdays in my life. Even yesterday, on my birthday, I was just continuing with my usual routines. I always thank God quietly for giving me another year,” he said.

However, this year was different, as Jaydan took the initiative to organise a surprise that touched him deeply.

He revealed that the young boy called him early in the day to wish him a happy birthday via video call, setting the tone for a day full of surprises and heartfelt gestures.

“But my little boy, Jaydan, is a very thoughtful and sensitive child. Early in the day, he called me on video and said, ‘Happy birthday, Daddy.’ Even this small gesture made me very happy. The party that happened here was all thanks to him, but it also shows the love he has for his father. He wants things to be done and remembered, and I am happy that he thought of me,” he said.

Rayvanny also praised his wife, Fayvanny, for helping make the celebration possible.

He noted that Jaydan could not have pulled off the surprise alone and acknowledged the role of his wife in ensuring the birthday became a memorable moment.

The singer expressed his gratitude for both his son and wife, highlighting how their efforts reflected thoughtfulness, love, and a deep sense of family unity.

“Honestly, Jaydan could not have organised all this by himself, which is why I want to give a shoutout to his mother, Fayvanny. She is an amazing woman. If she hadn’t agreed and helped, the surprise wouldn’t have been possible. I am really happy for my family and my children,” he added.

Rayvanny then addressed circulating rumours suggesting that he and Fayvanny may have fallen out.

He clarified that there is no truth to these claims, stating that he and Fayvanny remain in communication and are in a good place.

He explained that the birthday surprise would not have been possible without her consent and participation, reinforcing the strength of their family bond.

“I also want to address something that has been circulating, there is no truth to the idea that things are not okay between me and Fayvanny. We talk, and we are in a good place. The preparations for this birthday show care and thoughtfulness, and I am grateful. In life, if someone thinks of you and shows you respect, even for a moment, do not take it lightly. That is what this birthday meant to me,” he added.
