Jamal Marlow alias Jimal Rohosafi pleaded with his estranged first wife Amira to take him back eight months after their separation.
Amira announced she had dumped Jamal in November 2021, ending her 17-year marriage to the Matatu Operators Association chairman.
The mother of two parted ways with her husband because of socialite Faith Makau alias Amber Ray who wrecked their marriage.
Jamal and Amber Ray started dating in 2020 and ultimately went public with their relationship in December of the same year.
In April 2021, Amber Ray confirmed Jamal had married her as his second wife. Three months later in July, she announced that their marriage had crumbled and that they had parted ways.
Amber Ray publicly split from Jamal shortly after she traded insults with Amira and nearly fought each other in Syokimau where they were literally neighbours.
However, Jamal and Amber Ray started flirting with each other again on social media months after their marriage hit rock bottom.
Things got ugly in November when Amira decided to ‘file’ for divorce from Jamal for disrespecting her on various occasions by rekindling his love with Amber Ray.
The mother of two sons reacted angrily to her husband’s romantic birthday message to Amber Ray in November 2021.
Amira announced an end to her 17-year marriage saying that she was officially a single mother, shortly after Jamal sent Amber Ray best wishes on her birthday on November 4.
She told Jamal to prepare for divorce papers, adding that she would not let him disrespect her for a second time.
“As from today, kindly consider me a single mum. Jamal Rohosafi, get that divorce paper ready. I am not going to allow you to disrespect me again,” Amira wrote.
However, Jamal and Amber Ray reunion didn’t last for long as they broke up again in January 2022.
Amber Ray confirmed the breakup through a post on social media where she announced that she was single and ready to mingle.
“Those I dated 2021 Your certificates are Out Please come and collect them & 2022 intake ongoing ….Chances are limited 😅 #amberthebrand,” wrote Amber Ray on January 24, 2022.
Jamal apologizes to Amira
The Matatu Operators Association chairman begged his estranged wife for forgiveness in a lengthy post on social media.
“Amira I’m doing this because the disrespect was also as loud. I apologize for all the disrespect, for all the embarrassment, for all the hurt, for all the pain, for all the trauma. I’m sorry for all the times I haven’t been the man I promised to be.
“You’re my wife I was supposed to protect you and never associate you with any kind of drama! I failed and I admit it. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and I have taken the first steps Please forgive me.
“We have come from way back and for me to put you through all that mess was distasteful. Please forgive me,” Jamal wrote in part.
Jamal’s sister Leila Hassan pleaded with Amira to forgive her brother moments after he begged for forgiveness.
“Am here rooting for Jey. You’re the most patient and strongest person I Know. Just give him a second chance but with conditions. If you catch my drift. Love you both,” Leila wrote.
Mitchelle Ntalami commended Jamal for taking full accountability and publicly apologizing to his first wife.
“Whichever way it goes, whether he’s serious or not, whether she forgives or not, respect to him for accountability, publicly apologizing to her and owning up his mistakes,” Ntalami wrote.
Amber Ray, who is the reason why Amira walked out of her 17-year marriage, also urged the two to forgive each other and reconcile.
“Masaa ni machache wacha watu wapendane (there is no time let people love each other),” Amber Ray said when asked to comment on Jamal’s plea to Amira.
