Ntazola Gloria to men: Even if you buy me a car, I will not post you

Digital content creator Ntazola Gloria has elicited mixed reactions online after sharing a message addressing the growing trend of publicising relationships through gift displays on social media, especially following Girlfriend’s Day celebrations on Friday, August 1, 2025.
In a pointed statement shared on her Instagram stories on Sunday, August 3, 2025, Gloria dismissed the common practice among some women of posting their partners online simply because of receiving gifts.
She boldly declared that, given how well she has set her standards, she can never bow to the pressure of posting her man, even if he did a grand thing like buying her a car.
“Even if you buy me a car, I will not post you,” the cosmetician posted, adding that no material gesture would compel her to showcase a partner on social media.
Gloria took particular aim at those who feel pressured to publicise minor romantic tokens, such as chocolates or flowers.
She criticised women who post their partners over such relatively inexpensive gifts, saying they should stop doing so immediately.
“Stop with those chocolates worth KSh420 and flowers worth KSh2,200. You are buying from each other, and then the man gets posted as if he is a trophy.”

Bare-minimum treatment
Earlier on Monday, May 19, 2025, the lifestyle influencer urged women to stop settling for bare-minimum treatment from men who claim to be big boys but can only manage to offer Ksh20,000 for a night out.
In a post on her Instagram stories, Ntazola confidently reminded women that they are far too elegant, valuable, and high-calibre to spend their nights outside dancing and entertaining men in exchange for what she described as pocket change.
According to her, women should only entertain such small-time money from men when it is being channelled directly into meaningful things like their businesses, but not when it is being splashed on them in clubs and packaged as some life-changing favour.
“These men buying you alcohol worth Ksh20,000 are the same ones you are calling ‘big boys’? Come, let me take you out and get you drinks worth Ksh100,000, and please, never go dancing at Obilee again. You are far too gorgeous and refined to be spending your nights outside dancing for just Ksh20,000, unless he is giving you that money to invest in your hustle or business,” she wrote.

She went on to challenge the narrative that being bought drinks worth Ksh20K is a luxury, saying that true class means knowing your worth, protecting your energy, and being able to say no to flashy but low-value offers that do not match the effort or standard you bring to the table.
Adding a bold twist to her message, Ntazola suggested that women should focus on levelling up so much financially and mentally that they could even afford to fund their boyfriend’s side chick if they chose to.
She insisted that this would help prove to men that they are operating in an entirely different league, one where power, choice, and control lie firmly in their own hands.
“Be the kind of woman who is so financially secure that you can even afford your boyfriend’s side chick, just so you can try her too. Have both of them if you want, babe. Who knows, maybe she tastes good,” she concluded.
