Njambi Fever expresses concern over rising domestic abuse cases

Popular lifestyle blogger Njambi Fever has spoken out after noticing a worrying trend on social media.

In an emotional Instagram post on Thursday, July 31, 2025, Njambi shared how her timeline has been flooded with domestic violence stories over the past few days.

“I have been seeing so many domestic violence cases online. What is happening?” she wrote. “The past few days, IG, TikTok, and X is full of these cases and videos. It is heartbreaking. Sending so much love. Poleni sana victims and for speaking up! Well done.”

Njambi applauded victims for their courage in coming forward with their stories. Her message comes at a time when many survivors are using social platforms to raise awareness, seek justice, and encourage others in similar situations to speak up.

Fridah Mwaka stands with a survivor

Njambi’s post follows another emotional message shared by news anchor Fridah Mwaka. On the morning of July 30, 2025, Fridah took to her social media pages to support a close friend who recently opened up about surviving domestic abuse.

“I never like imposing myself on people’s personal affairs. Never. But this one…this one has hit way too close to home,” she wrote. “I saw pictures and videos of my high school friend brave enough to share her story of abuse and violence. A story that should never have been hers to live.”

Fridah expressed heartbreak and anger at how frequent these cases have become. “How did we get here? Violence against women in this country is no longer something we just talk about. It is in our homes. It is real, it is here. And we are done being quiet.”

More and more survivors are turning to social media to share their painful experiences. While the stories are difficult to watch or read, they are shedding light on the scale of the problem.

Public figures like Njambi Fever and Fridah Mwaka are using their voices to support victims and call for action. Their messages highlight the urgent need for awareness, support systems, and stronger measures to protect vulnerable people.

Other private bodies have also been formed to help tackle cases of domestic violence.
