She explained that although he grew up believing his mother had died, she had taken him to a children’s home because she did not have the means to raise him at the time.

She said she feared losing him due to her difficult situation and believed he would have a better chance in life if she left him in the home.

She also said she wants to meet Bahati and is ready to take a DNA test to prove her claims. She added that keeping the truth to herself for years has been troubling her, and she hopes to reunite with him.

“Bahati, mimi ni mama yako, nakuja mbele yako kukuomba msamaha, although uliambiwa mama yako alikufa, na si kupenda kwa hao watu wakuambie ivo. Mimi nilikuzaa na nikakupleka children’s home. Sikuwa na uwezo ndo maana nikakupeleka children’s home.

Niliona nikiwa na wewe nitakupoteza, mungu alikuwa amekupangia maisha yako mazuri. Sasa unaona ningekaa na wewe, hungekuwa na iyo maisha mazuri uko nayo. Nakuomba msamaha, naomba ukuje na unitafute. Mimi niko ready kukuomba msamaha, niko ready kufanya DNA. Hii kitu inanisumbua sana, natamani sana kukuona,” she lamented.

Loosely translated as;

“Bahati, I am your mother. I come before you to ask for forgiveness, even though you were told your mother died, and it wasn’t those people’s wish to tell you that. I gave birth to you and took you to a children’s home. I didn’t have the means, that’s why I took you there. I felt that if I stayed with you, I would lose you. God had planned a good life for you. Now you see, if I had stayed with you, you wouldn’t have the good life you have now.

I am asking for your forgiveness. I beg you to come and look for me. I am ready to ask for forgiveness, I am ready to do a DNA test. This thing is troubling me a lot, I really wish to see you.”
