Mosiria elated after he brokered peace between couple after domestic dispute
Nairobi County Environment Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria was beyond ecstatic after helping resolve a domestic dispute between a couple.
On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Mosiria revealed on his X account that he had mediated between Joy and Collins, a couple who had been living together for only five days but were already considering separation over what he described as a minor disagreement.
He emphasised that while the disagreement had been relatively small, it had the potential to end the relationship prematurely. His intervention, he noted, was driven by a belief in open communication and the importance of preserving relationships whenever possible.
“Today, I resolved a misunderstanding between Joy and Collins, and they have gone home as a happy couple. After living together for five days, they almost separated over a small issue, which I have just helped them work out. Hii maneno ya wazee almost costed them their relationship. Mwanaume ni kujiongea, and this reconciliation must work,” Mosiria stated.
Acts of kindness
The County official, who is known for his interventions in people’s lives and sanitation efforts, has in the past been involved in other acts of kindness.
On July 21, 2025, Mosiria responded to an emotional plea from a Nairobi resident about a homeless Kenyan-Indian woman living with advanced diabetes and a severe diabetic foot condition.
In a heartfelt statement shared that night, Mosiria said he had been contacted by a follower who told him, “I’m not calling you for official business, but I’ve seen how you help people.”
“Today, I responded to a distress call from a Nairobi resident who follows me on social media. She told me, ‘I’m not calling you for official business, but I’ve seen how you help people.’ She explained that there was a Kenyan-Indian lady who had been living on the streets for quite some time, suffering greatly from diabetes and a severe diabetic foot,” Mosiria said.
He rushed to the location where he found the woman in great pain and visibly distressed. After speaking with her and listening to her heartbreaking story, he took her to Mbagathi Hospital, where doctors assessed her and admitted her for treatment.
“I immediately went to the location, and indeed, I found the lady in immense pain. She shared with me her heartbreaking story and how she ended up homeless with no place to call home. I was moved by her situation and offered to help her. I took her to Mbagathi Hospital, where she was assessed and admitted for treatment,” he stated.
