Kenyan musician King Kaka has come out to address on-air speculations that he and his wife Nana Owiti have broken up.
In a video shared on his Instagram account, the ‘Dundaing’ hitmaker refuted the claims, labelling them as baseless and malicious rumours.
“I don’t clout chase, especially when it comes to family. Neither does Nana. I was not even going to address this, but the fact that it’s affecting my family, I have to,” King Kaka stated.
“I know people get excited when it comes to content creation, and we want to say things to spice it up. Now the whole country has picked up your fake story. There are claims of a death certificate and that our children have been kidnapped and taken to America,” he said.
The ‘Baadaye‘ hitmaker noted that it’s important to be mindful when it comes to content creation highlighting how such stories can affect one’s family.
Setting the record straight, King Kaka clarified that Nana Owiti is currently in the country, while their children are attending school, debunking any notions of an impending breakup.
King Kaka urged individuals to refrain from jeopardizing genuine relationships with sensationalized narratives.
“Nana is in the country, the kids are in school. I’m puzzled as to where these stories are coming from. Let’s be mindful. There are many people involved when we create these fake stories. Let’s create content, but let’s not ruin something good,” King Kaka declared.
Adding;
“I’ve heard many stories, even that I have a death certificate, and yet I’m here! Or am I hallucinating?”
The claims of their separation surfaced shortly after King Kaka’s recent birthday celebration.
King Kaka, birthday wishes

In the caption, Nana expressed warm wishes for the special occasion, highlighting the joy the musician brings to their family.
“A very happy birthday to a significant person who shares in the joy of our beautiful family. May your day be filled with love, laughter, and blessings @thekingkaka ✨,” Nana wrote.
