Key role Mr Seed had been assigned to do at Betty Bayo’s grave

Gospel singer Mr Seed was among the trove of singers who graced the emotional burial of gospel singer Betty Bayo that was held at the Ndumberi Stadium and later at her home in Mugumo Estate in Kiambu on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
While only close family members and close friends were allowed inside the homestead where the grave was, Mr Seed, who was personally close to Betty, was also allowed.
In a Facebook livestream on Betty Bayo’s own page, the singer is seen among the lead people who had been designated to help coordinate the sequence of events at the gravesite.
Mr Seed was dressed in full black attire, and once the casket was lowered into the cemented grave, he is seen leading the family in fetching soil from a spade he held as Bishop Michael Wanderi read scriptures that would lead them in heaping the soil into the grave.

The singer continued assisting until everyone the bishop invited had placed soil in the grave, and the livestream later shows him helping align the flowers on top of it.
Betty’s friend
Along with being a very close friend to the late gospel singer, Mr Seed was also among the key artistes that Betty had collaborated with during her music career that spanned over 20 years.
Their first collaboration was the song “Ngai Ti Mundu”, which they released in 2014 and which, just a few months later, won them the Collaboration of the Year at the 2014 Groove Music Award.
The singer’s presence at the burial came only a day after he spent a full day with Betty Bayo’s kids, Sky and Dany, at their home and performed for them some of their mum’s top-charting songs along with their 2014 release, “Ngai Ti Mundu”.
In a video shared on Facebook, Mr Seed is seen walking into the house like a surprise performer, prompting Betty’s children to scream in excitement the moment they spot him.
He held a water bottle to his mouth to mimic a microphone, and he kept dancing while moving from one side of the expansive sitting room to the other as the kids, together with their cousins, followed him.
