Huddah Monroe recounts how she almost married security guard
Kenyan socialite and entrepreneur Huddah Monroe has left her fans in stitches after sharing how she almost packed her bags for Russia only to discover that the “billionaire” she had fallen for was a security guard.
In a series of Instagram stories on Tuesday, March 25, Huddah recounted how she met the mystery man while living in a high-end apartment in Dubai. The man looked every bit the part of a wealthy tycoon dressed in designer outfits, driving Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, Lamborghinis, and G-Wagons, and always pressing the button to the penthouse floor. Naturally, Huddah was smitten.
“I’ve joked about so many things and they all come true. There was a time when I was staying in Dubai (very high end obviously) I used to see this one guy, very classy, wealthy-looking, athletic. I always saw him in a Bentley, RR or Lambo or a G wagon. Plus he always pressed PH (penthouse). Everyone who stayed there was super wealthy, like high-level $$. So I used to have a crush on The dude like Crazy! To a point I even saw him, despite being with my boyfriend, I complimented him loudly (you look good). That day, it was drama in my apartment,” she shared.
Huddah admitted to having a strong attraction to him, even to the point of openly complimenting him despite being in a relationship at the time. However, after some time, she stopped seeing him around and assumed he had moved out or travelled.
Months later, she was surprised to find him at a gym she had joined. This time, he approached her, complimenting her eyes, which led to an exchange of numbers and a subsequent dinner date.
During their date, Huddah boldly expressed her desire to marry him, believing she had found her ideal partner. She recalled how he showered her with flowers and affection, reinforcing her belief that she had found her jackpot. The man took her seriously, and soon, flowers were flowing, love was blooming, and Huddah was mentally preparing to relocate to Russia.

We exchanged numbers, went for dinner and at that dinner, I told him with my mouth! “I’ll marry you I rarely waste time when I see what I want. Mimi! I didn’t think the guy would take it seriously flowers started coming in,” Huddah narrated.

Just before things got too serious, she decided to ask the golden question: “What do you do for a living?”
To her surprise, the man revealed that he was a security guard working for a Russian oligarch. The revelation was a dealbreaker for Huddah, who quickly decided to end things.
Even after cutting ties, she shared that the man still hopes for a future with her, a situation that left her friends in disbelief.
“Guy was in love! Kuna Wakenya waliniona na huyo mtu outside especially. But I knew I hit the jackpot and was ready to move to Russia. Until one day I asked him what he did for a living.
