In a phone call with K24 Digital, Mulamwa’s class teacher from high school Salyne Nabangi has revealed that the comedian whose name is David Oyando was an A student back in the day.

While wishing her former student a happy birthday, Nabangi, said she expected the content producer to pursue a career in the sciences.

“He was a very bright boy who always scored As. In fact, he was index two during the year his class sat for KCSE,” the class teacher who is now a school principal at Immaculate Conception Girls Secondary School in Kitale said.

Miss Nabangi further told k24 digital that Mulamwa used to calculate mathematical sums during CRE lessons.

“We really struggled to make him pass CRE and Kiswahili. Those were the only subjects that proved difficult for him,” the teacher said.

Although Mulamwa’s teacher said she is happy with the great strides the comedian is making in the entertainment industry, she still couldn’t come to terms with how and why the comedian settled for a career in entertainment.

“As teachers, we expected him to be a scientist. He was an active member of science congress and when we saw him acting in videos we were really shocked,” the teacher added.

Mulamwa celebrated his 28th birthday over the weekend.

In a phone call with K24 digital, the comedian who has rubbed shoulders in the entertainment industry said he has eyes on the top seat of Kenyan comedy.

“I want to grow in all aspects. To be a role model to many,” comedian Mulamwa said.

Mulamwa’s birthday was attended by fellow comedians Terrence Creative, Dj Shiti, Milly Chebi Mwangi and Oliver Otieno Alisa YY among others.
