‘Hapa sasa ni watoto’: Charlie’s playful message to Betty Kyallo on their 2nd anniversary

Charlie Jones, long-time partner of the celebrated journalist Betty Kyallo, is celebrating love and laughter as the couple marks their 2nd dating anniversary.
Replying to a celebratory post made by Betty on her official Instagram account on Sunday, November 23, 2025, Charlie playfully said that it is time for them to have children.
“2 years? Hapa sasa ni watoto sasa. No pressure though,” Charlie wrote.
Betty’s message
On her part, the celebrated journalist celebrated their anniversary with a sweet message dedicated to her lover, Charlie.
“Look at us, baby, two years later, still looking like we know what we’re doing.“ Happy 2nd Anniversary, My Sugar Plum Plum. I do love you. WE MADE IT!!!!!!!! 23/11,” she wrote.
The couple have gone for a safari drive to celebrate their 2nd anniversary.
Charlie and Betty Kyallo have been one of Kenya’s most-watched celebrity couples. Over the past two years, they have shared many glimpses of their relationship, from romantic getaways to funny everyday moments.

In June 2024, the beauty entrepreneur revealed the face of her boyfriend, gushing over him in a heartfelt birthday message after months of attempting to hide him from the public eye.
Taking to her instastories, Betty shared lovely photos of them spending a romantic day at Ngong Hills with a special prayer and sweet wishes for him as he celebrated his birthday.
She further revealed that she was ready to sire more kids by Charlie.
“Happy birthday, baby. More laughs, more happiness, more hugs, more babies, more us. This is it. God sent me the right one. All of you guys can be angry,” she wrote
Age difference
Their union has drawn attention mostly because of their age gap. Early reports had claimed that Charlie was 21 years old, but he later came out to clarify that he is 26.
The 35-year-old mother of one also set the record straight about Charlie’s age, denying claims that he is only 21 years old.
“Ata akiwa 21 si underage lakini si 21, no. Let’s not go deeper,” she remarked.
Asked about the prospects of settling down with her younger boo, the celebrated personality noted that she wants to enjoy her relationship first before she can think of taking a second stab at marriage.
“Si tuko sawa for now. Hio story ya harusi inapatianga watu pressure, wee wacha tu nipendwe pole pole. Acha tu nikue taken care of by somebody’s son,” she said.
Betty Kyallo additionally stressed that she had fallen head over heels in love with the young man, noting that she never used to enjoy cooking but at the moment she has sharpened her culinary skills for her boyfriend’s sake.
“You are cooking for him?” The interviewer asked.
“Actually let me tell you I never used to like to cook lakini najipatanga tu hapo kitchen maze nko hapo tu Instagram naangalia malessons hahahahaha,” Betty Kyallo said amid laughter.
