Tanzanian fashion icon and digital entrepreneur Hamisa Mobetto has opened up about how her life has transformed ever since she tied the knot with her husband, Burkinabe professional footballer Stephanie Aziz Ki.
Speaking to Tanzanian YouTubers on Monday, July 14, 2025, the socialite revealed that marriage to a global athlete has not only elevated her profile but also changed the way she is perceived both locally and internationally.

She revealed that being recognised as one of the most stylish and talented wives of footballers globally has made a significant impact on her visibility and credibility. She also noted that the exposure has gone beyond her home country, Tanzania, spreading across the continent and even abroad.
“First of all, just being listed among the most fashionable and talented footballers’ wives in the world has really increased my recognition and credibility,” she said. “Not just here in Tanzania, but globally.”
She added that her recent trip to the United States was a personal one, which coincided with Aziz Ki’s football engagements.
Raised level of admiration
Although she had gone for her business matters, she found herself warmly welcomed by crowds who already knew her, something she had not anticipated.
“My journey to the US to watch football was a personal trip. I was there for my business errands, but it happened that we were in the same place at the same time. I had gone to support the team, and I was received so well because of him,” she said.
The model and businesswoman described how surprised she was by the level of attention and admiration she received, stating that many people recognised her and gave her a warm reception, despite her keeping things very casual and simple.
“I was received well by many people who knew me so well, more than I had expected. I was just simple and casual,” she noted.
Hamisa also reflected on how accepting marriage to a footballer meant embracing a new lifestyle—one that has exposed her to a wider audience and required her to adapt to new settings.
“I accepted the reality the moment I said yes to marrying a footballer,” she added.
