Social media figure Gloria Ntazola has once caught her fans’ attention with her bold statements about dating, money, and the choices people make in relationships.

On Thursday, September 11, 2025, on Instagram, she said that some men are not with the women they truly desire but rather with those they can afford.

She stated plainly: “Uyo kijana wako, wewe ni type yake juu sai hana pesa za ku afford type yake” (That guy is dating you because he has no money for his real type). The comment points directly to the role financial status plays in shaping who people choose to be with.

According to her, money is not only about daily living but also about power and freedom of choice. In her view, when a man lacks the financial means to pursue the kind of woman he wants, he ends up settling for a relationship based on his pocket rather than his preference.

The words added another layer to the ongoing conversations about the link between love and money, especially in modern society, where lifestyle often plays a large role in relationships.

Ksh100K remarks

Gloria’s statement followed another strong comment she had shared earlier. In that one, she imagined herself becoming wealthy enough to “teach men how to treat women” by giving them money directly. She said she would randomly send men Ksh100,000 so they could buy quality shoes.

“One day, I’ll be so rich, and I’ll be sending men money for free to teach them how to treat women. I’ll randomly send you Ksh100k to buy nice shoes because walking around in those cheap loafers, no girl takes you seriously,” Gloria said.

Her example about shoes was not only about fashion. She implied that women also judge men by how they look, and in her opinion, poor dressing can make it harder for men to be taken seriously.

Together, both of her remarks built a single message that financial ability influences relationships in more ways than many are willing to admit. It can decide who men date, how they present themselves, and even how they are treated.
