Former BBC journalist Ferdinand Omondi on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, showered lovely messages with his wife Caroline Njeri Ng’ang’a during their third wedding anniversary.
In a statement, Omondi revealed that his heart was brimming with love for his lover and that their relationship was growing stronger with each passing year.
“A girl. We have really done this life thing together. I couldn’t have pictured it better if I tried. Each new year comes with the promise of yet more adventure together. To many more. My heart is full. Happy Anniversary,” Omondi wrote.
Private Wedding
On the eve of the New Year of 2022, Omondi tied the knot with his lover Njeri in a private ceremony, mostly attended by close friends, family and former colleagues in the media industry.
He later declared his undying love for Njeri, later in January 2022, stating that he could not wait to do life with his lover-turned-wife.
“Happy New Year. Nothing but joy, and gratitude and satisfaction in my heart. God has blessed me in ways I cannot imagine. I could not close 2021 and open 2022 in a better way if I tried,” Omondi declared.
“Let’s do life together, Caroline Ng’ang’a. I love you very much, and cannot wait to celebrate milestone after milestone with you by my side.”
On her part, Njeri looked forward to spending the year ahead with her best friend.
“What a beautiful way to start off 2022. I look forward to conquering the world in the wonderful company of my best friend Ferdy Omondi. Glory be to God,” she stated.

During a previous interview, Njeri admitted that she had met Omondi on Facebook where she was looking for a person to hone her French-speaking skills with.
“I am looking for someone I can do my French speaking practice with… Through phone calls and maybe some coffee dates… it will be great if they are smart, male of legal age, handsome and single… in that order,” Njeri posted after which she remarked that a DM from Omondi blossomed into a marriage on December 31, 2021.
“It is the day of the year that we commemorate how Ferdinand Omondi took this post seriously 4 years ago, slid into the DM, and got himself a wife. Am still waiting to be taken to the Eiffel Tower though,” Njeri teased in a message in 2023.
