Bongo fans attached to Kenya’s Otile Brown and Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz are reigniting their feud or so it seems with new allegations that Diamond sampled Otile’s beats in his just-released song ‘Naanzaje’

Fans claim that the sample in question was taken from Otile’s song ‘Such kinda love’ which he originally released in May 2021 featuring his former signee Jovial a hit that has since amassed over nine million Youtube views.

Neither of the two artists has addressed the claim however fans believe Diamond did not actually conceptualize the beat himself.

The new song is still up on Youtube and has not been flagged for copyright infringement.

While entertainers do it for fans, part of their work is also a major business venture and such claims may cost either party a handful if the matter turns to be a legal issue.

Music is meant for entertainment, magnifying creativity and generating conversations all aiming at impacting authentic cultural experiences.

However, with the new release, the ‘originality/authenticity’ has allegedly been tampered with and the fans are disappointed.

Check out both songs and you be the judge. Do you think they sound the same?
