Diamond dedicates love song to Zari during concert

Tanzanian singer Naseeb Abdul, popularly known as Diamond Platnumz, expressed his love and appreciation for his South Africa-based baby mama Zari by dedicating a special song to her during a fundraising concert in Uganda.

During his performance on the Kololo Strip stage on Friday, Diamond announced to the audience that he had a heartfelt dedication to the mother of his children.

“I wanna sing this song, and this song is a special dedication to the mother of my kids,” he stated.

Diamond went on to express his gratitude to Zari, acknowledging that she had blessed him with two beautiful children.

He affectionately mentioned his first kids, Latiffah and Nillan, and emphasized his deep love for them. Encouraging the crowd to join him, Diamond sang a love song by Ugandan artiste Aziz Azion titled ‘Nkumira Omukwano,’ without specifying the message behind his dedication.

In the song, Aziz sings of his deep love for his lover, citing he will never let her go.

“Do you know why? because she blessed me with two kids beautiful kids Latiffah and Nillan, I love them so much. Those were my first kids you know, so I don’t know if you know this song, I want you to sing with me,” he revealed.

Earlier, Diamond and Zari sparked rumours and speculation of a possible romantic reconciliation following their appearance on the reality show ‘Young Famous and African’.

However, the relationship became strained during the show’s second season, with Zari publicly accusing Diamond of disrespecting her.

In a recent interview with Ugandan media, Diamond clarified their current relationship status, stating that they are solely co-parenting and have a platonic relationship.

He also revealed that he is currently in a separate romantic relationship and emphasized his respect for Zari’s marriage.

“We are just co-parenting and we respect each other. As you know, everybody has a partner, so there’s nothing going on. We try to be more modern, urban but we don’t want to entertain negativity when it comes to our kids,” Diamond explained, highlighting their commitment to maintaining a professional and positive co-parenting dynamic.
