Bahati survives attempted robbery at his home

Kenyan singer Bahati has sounded an alarm following what he claims was an attempted robbery at his home in the early hours of Friday morning.
In a video shared on his official Instagram account on Friday, August 29, 2025, Bahati shared CCTV screenshots showing two unidentified individuals near his residence.
The entertainer revealed that the attempted break-in happened in the wee hours of Friday, August 29, 2025, between 4:27 AM and 5:30 AM, raising fears of a planned break-in.
In the post, Bahati sounded a warning, firmly stating that the persons of interest should stay away from his money.
“Alert!! Gangsters visited my home between 4:27 AM and 5:30 AM… Stay away from my money, or else you will be shot dead!!” Bahati said.
In the video seen by K24Digital news, two unidentified individuals are seen at the artist’s gate; one of the people has covered himself in a helmet, while the other person’s face can be seen.
In addition, also parked at the gate was a motorcycle.
Likewise, Bahati went on to issue a formal appeal to the Inspector General of Police, urging for increased security measures for his household and the surrounding neighbourhood while making claims that their lives are in danger.
“Dear Inspector General of Police, I am making a formal complaint. Please organize extra security for my family & neighbors. Our lives are in danger,” he added.
The artist has, however, not disclosed attempts or plans underway to have the persons of interest apprehended.

Kabugi deny fake robbery incident
The renowned artist’s remarks closely follow recent remarks by content creator Kabugi, who came out strongly to deny claims that he faked a robbery incident to seek sympathy and money from his TikTok followers early in the month.
At the time, in a TikTok post on Monday, August 4, 2025, Kabugi emotionally recounted a recent home break-in, saying he lost items worth over Ksh300,000.
Among the items stolen were two laptops, a 55-inch Samsung television and other personal equipment critical to his daily work. The incident has left the digital star shaken and temporarily unable to create or post content.
But according to the comedian, the financial figure was not shared to solicit funds.
